Your Heart is a Brain was mostly recorded during the covid crisis of 2020 and early 2021. All of my live performances got cancelled and the album I originally wanted to work on got scrapped and I moved into a completely different direction. While I had far over 60 tracks fully produced, these 11 tracks made the cut for this new, SAKI BOMB album. To a certain degree, this record is a departure from my earlier music and also marks the end of an era. Besides the usual electronic, synthesizer and drum machine sounds, I decided to add orchestral, piano and electric guitar arrangements. Some are real and some are sampled and virtual instruments; I will leave it to each listener to figure out which is which. I drew lots of inspiration from contemporary, kindred spirits but also crafted a new sound for SAKI BOMB. The last 12 years were an amazing time and musician experience but it was time to move into a new musical direction, which will even more audible in upcoming releases. I also would like to thank Danielle Ocheltree for allowing me to use the amazing photo of her daughter as the album's cover art. In my opinion, it represents the curiosity I developed when recording this record. Thank you for checking out my new music, it means the world to me.
